ReCell, supported by DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Office, began in 2019 with the goal of advancing battery recycling and working to enable lower cost battery materials for the U.S. through recycling. At this in-person meeting, which was held at Argonne National Laboratory on August 27-28, 2024, ReCell provided an update on the work it has been doing and solicit feedback. Perhaps just as importantly, this meeting served as an opportunity for all electric vehicle battery recycling stakeholders to hear about what is going on in the industry, learn about the challenges and opportunities, and connect with others. Presenters from government, industry, and academia shared their views and ideas in an effort to spur further collaboration among all stakeholders. The meeting also provided time and opportunity for networking and discussion among stakeholders.
